Fresh Homemade Salsa
Ingredients 3 cups chopped tomatoes ? cup chopped green bell pepper 1 cup onion, diced ? cup minced fresh cilantro 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice 4 teaspoons chopped fresh jalapeno pepper (including seeds) ? teaspoon ground cumin ? teaspoon kosher salt ? teaspoon ground black pepper. Put the chopped onion and garlic in a strainer. Pour the boiling water over and then discard the water. Allow the chopped onion and garlic to fully cool and drain. Combine the drained onion and garlic with the chopped tomatoes, peppers, cilantro, and lime juice.

There are a bunch of good salsa recipes and you can add this one to the list. Loved this recipe. I used fresh Hungarian banana peppers instead of canned as I had them from my garden.
