Secondly, to determine the correct value of your coin, you must accurately grade it. Hw can use an online grading guide or buy a printed grading guidebook to grade your coins accurately.
Do not over-grade your coins. If potential buyers believe that the coin is over graded, they will shy away from bidding which will result in a lower final price or maybe the coin not even selling.
Additionally, you will not build the trust of prospective buyers on eBay. This is most important if you plan on selling higher value how to fix dishwasher door spring. If a buyer does not trust you, they will not be willing to take a risk of buying a valuable coin from you in the future.
Look at your coin carefully and describe it's condition in the description portion of your listing. If there are noticeable scratches, dents, surface damage or any other distracting characteristics, describing them accurately and honestly. Accurate descriptions will serve you in the long-run because buyers will know exactly what to expect when they receive their coin, and then they will leave you positive feedback. Poor quality photographs that are out of focus and scans that do not capture the true features of the coin will result in less than maximum jake on your coins.
If you are serious about selling coins on eBay, then investing in a quality camera and taking the time to learn how to use it, will pay for itself many times over. There are two ways to list items on eBay: auction-style and "Buy It Now. When the end of the auction is reached, you are obligated to sell the coin to the winning bidder.
Be careful not to set the opening bid or place a reserve that is out of touch with what the market will bear. This will just cause people to pass over your coin and look somewhere else. In my experience, auction-style listings have achieved better results than "Buy It Se,ling listings. A buyer can choose to buy your item immediately by clicking on Buy It Now. If any bid is placed on the auction, then the Buy It Now option is removed what does nf mean in texting the item will sell as an auction-style listing.
Therefore, do not set your Buy It Now price too high in the hopes of making a quick buck. Set an honest Buy It Now Price that may lead to an immediate sale without sacrificing your profit on selling your coin.
If you make the shipping charge too expensive, buyers will pass over your coin and look for another item pn a cheaper or free shipping charge. Although coins are made out of metal, surface damage can occur during shipping.
To adequately protect the coins during shipping, place the coin in a non-PVC coin flip or securely mounted in a coind x 2 cardboard holder. Since the environment can be extreme during shipping, use a plastic Ziploc bag to protect the coins against moisture.
Place them in a padded envelope for an additional layer of protection. Never ship coins in a standard business envelope. Coin flips and cardboard holders can be purchased online or at your local coin dealer. Make sure you tape the ends of the envelope to ensure that no one tampers with your package during shipping. If you use a box, make sure you tape all the edges of the box to ensure that it cannot be slit open and the coins removed during shipping.

In 2021 eBay will no longer allow the sale or purchase of Coins, Motor Vehicles, or Bullion
Oct 16, · Now, the coin and currency business is one that generally works on very slim margins, and if you do not factor in this 8% expense it’s hard to make money. Let’s take a look at options other than eBay when it comes to selling online. Anyone attempting to sell on the internet needs to accept some sort of electronic payment. IF the coin is in a slab from a reputable (and eBay approved) TPG then things are easy. Here's eBay's rules:" Coins minted before must show the full front and back of the holder. Coins minted in or after must show the full front of the holder. " For raw coins things are different. Managed Payments is to be fully implemented by requiring ALL Sellers to be enrolled. Among several Items that will NOT be allowed in te Managed Payment System, are, Coins & Paper Money, Motor Vehicles, and Bullion. Obviously, if sellers can't sell .
Obviously, if sellers can't sell them, then there won'tbe any listed to purchase I've been wondering how eBay will handle this- will they abandon these categories?
Split off any category to a new site or sell it? Listings that don't follow these rules may be removed from the site or from search results. Other actions we may take include lowering a seller's rating, charging additional fees, limiting buying and selling privileges, or suspending an account. We work with external payments processors to manage payments on eBay, and these processors have their own restrictions on what items can be sold.
As a result, sellers participating in managed payments have additional restrictions on the items they can list. I already quit selling here and closed my selling account last year.
If they do away with coins, paper money, and bullion, I will close my buying account as well. But, according to policy, sellers cannot even list those items so there won't be anything to buy. Even if the items were permitted, how would payment outside of Adyen work?
I don't think it would. You would not be able to list them as Managed payments items. But that would not necessarily mean you cant list them at all. They could still be allowed using merchant credit card accounts or cash for Local pickup, ect. I think its a little premature to read into it that those entire categories are simply going to go away. Seems pretty clear that if you list, you get sanctions or banned. I agree - knocking out those categories completely would be foolish as they're significant revenue producers.
I suspect eBay will have an alternate payment system for these if, for example, Adyen cannot process the money, but it's better to get that information from eBay rather than speculate. Perhaps one of the mods here can weigh in on this issue. Are these categories going to be completely eliminated? Can they be listed and accept another form of payment? You would be correct. As the policy reads now, once you are in MPayments, you are no longer allowed to list those items at all.
Since everyone will be "in", it truly looks like they won't be posted here anymore. Since all monies are processed through Managed Payments - to ebay, then to the seller's bank account - how then will a buyer been able to buy outside of managed payments AND the seller be able to accept payment through Managed Payments?
As someone pointed out elsewhere, Etsy has Adyen for a payment processor and silver coins can be purchased there, so it would seem that it is ebay that is making the decision, not Adyen.
